Intercession for GCE and CHE Mesoamerica Region is indispensable.

October 10, 2013.
Praises
1)   The Lord provided  a contract for a well  to our team in Honduras in September and it is helping us in the support of the whole region CHE staff for the month of October. Hugo Jr  thinks just a couple of wells more and the Honduras team will be ready to do wells on their own. The training to Hugo Jr received from the Douglas Brothers has multiplied to our teams in Guatemala and Honduras. But still there is more to train and equip in the future among the rest of our region.
2)  The Leaders of Compassion Int in the West of Guatemala have agreed with us to set the dates of December 9 and 10 for a CHE Vision Seminar.
3)   The trip to Mexico to oversee and encourage the CHE teams in Baja California plus the team to the Tarahumara ethnic group in partnership with the Tarahumara Mission Hospital (Sept 12-24) went blessed for Dr. Hugo. Our CHE teams there were encouraged and hopefully enriched in training.
4)   For the Mesoamerica Regional Council Meeting scheduled for October 17 through 21  in Honduras is all planned in order. At least 41 CHE leaders (GCE and Partners) have confirmed to participate. 
5)   Roger Pavon Central America 2 Area Coordinator went to Rocky Point in Sonora Mexico to train the OneMission team there on Community Evaluation and other topics. Praise God for Roger also visited Partners of Hope in Spokane Washington and did a Vision Seminar with them.
6)   For the invitation from Bethany Bible Church in Phoenix to have Hugo Jr and Senior there from October 26 through November 3 to do CHE Trainings with them during their Global Mission Focus Week.
Requests:
1)    As the Training Seminar TOT 1 and 2 to Belize with the Church of God has been postponed -on their part- for October we need to do wise changes too. Pray for guidance to Adolfo Leon Area Coordinator and the Belize hosts.
2)   For Roger Pavon Area Coordinator has scheduled new dates with leaders in Panama to re-introduce CHE in November.
3) For the Short Term Mission Teams to welcome here in November.
a—Women’s team and construction men’s team from Mission Community Church in Mesa AZ.
b) Health Screening and VBS teams from Meadowbrook Baptist Church in Alabama.
c)-- Water Well teams from Deer Creek Church and Littleton Bible Chapel from the Denver Area ( 2 teams 2weeks)
4) Pray for our Partner ministry Drops of Grace from Texas had a good assessment trip to Nicaragua with Hugo Jr  and now they will go on with
Equipping our CHE teams in Nicaragua with a well drilling rig. Lots of need for safe water there also.
5)   Pray that resources be multiplied through on field stewardship, our part.
6) That MAI & GCE will continue growing in joint ministry to the Glory of God and to present Jesus with Honor.

Prayer, Prayer and More Prayer Needed in GCE.

Prayer Update!

Praises:
1)   The village of El Tizate will be able to complete their water project as the pump donated by Kirk Douglas which was held at the customs in Guatemala city was recovered after some amount of paperwork, money and time. The Lord worked some miraculous ways.
2)   The STM team from Focused Living Ministries from South Carolina along with the CHE Trainers were a blessing to the village Tercera Calle by ministering to several schools in the area, the medical clinic, construction all with the local CHEs.
3)   The visit of Pastor Mike Niemi and brother David from Meadow Brook Baptist Church in Alabama was very encouraging as they are now praying to find dates to come in STM even before year end for partnership with GCE.
4)      For Drops of Grace have confirmed the scouting trip to Nicaragua with Hugo Jr –last week of September-- as to continue the spreading of the Water Well Drilling CHE ministry with GCE.
5)   GCE Board Chairman and MAI leaders are already in talks about ways to enrich our ongoing partnership.
6)   For the lives of the testimonies portrayed on our recent post on the website will continue to be discipled along with the many others reported only on statistics.

Requests:
1)   Join us in prayer for the invitation and plans for Hugo and Miriam to travel to Germany in September have been postponed. Pray for Eberhard and Hedy Schlotz who are beginning a society to help support this ministry too. 
2)   Pray for more water well projects to private farmers or non CHE villages in Honduras or Guatemala as those help in supporting our whole Region CHE staff.
3)   We have been requested by the Compassion Int. leaders in the West of Guatemala to do a CHE Vision Seminar with them. Pray that we will have dates soon.

Update as of July 14 2013

Prayer Update!

Praises:
1) The 16 participants/trainees to the CHE Internship training for the Meso-America Region during the whole month of June (2-29) have all returned safe to their homes and fields across the Mesoamerica Region. CHE villages and local teams were also very blessed mainly from the Interns visits during the required Field Experience days. God's provision through all of our Internship sponsors has been abundant, Glory to Him.
2) Praises to God as Mike Douglas GCE Chairman and Kirk and Gloria Douglas came in June 8. They followed up on some pending water projects and completed a well now serving the village of Xanchenil along the local teams.
3)Praises to the Lord for the week of ministry (June 4-12) along with the STM team from First Baptist Pine, Arizona who witnessed at the CHE village of El Suj on the Cuchumatanes Range of Mountains and helped the local church build a retaining wall and served through the medical/dental clinic also with the local Quiche CHE teams. 
4)  We praise the Lord for Bethany Bible Church, Phoenix AZ joined  the CHEs at the Mam village of Xanchenil June 14-22. The construction project of the church facility grew as result and many were witnessed to through the medical/dental clinic also. 
5) The villagers of Los Alonzo were blessed by the visit of Jim Mott, Don Orvis and Team and wanted to express their praises to God for the encouragement they brought.
6)Thank the Lord for Hugo and Miriam were able to honor Medical Ambassadors Int invitation by attending the International Council Meeting June 4-8 at Mount Hermon California. It is a blessing to GCE and the Mesoamerica Region to be represented by the CEO/ Region Coordinator and Miriam. MAI is wanting to enrich the MAI/GCE Partnership in special ways.
7) Thank God that the short visit to our children Mario and Christa in school in Texas on the way to California was a very blessed time.
8) Praise God for His peace is been enjoyed here now that we have been released from the recent administration challenges which ended with God's trimming process on damaging people around this ministry.


Requests:
1) Pray for Grace and Guidance to be able to recover a submersible pump donated by Kirk Douglas which is still at the customs in Guatemala city. Paperwork and time are the main challenges.
2) As the Training Seminar TOT 1 and 2 to Belize with the Church of God has been postponed -on their part- for October we need to do wise changes too. Pray for guidance.
3) Join us in prayer for the invitation and plans for Hugo and Miriam to travel to Germany in September to share about GCE/CHE to be a blessed time with fruitful investment for our friends Eberhard and Heidy Schlotz who are beginning a society to help support this ministry too. 
4) Pray for the visit of Pastor Mike Niemi and brother David from Meadow Brook Baptist Church in Alabama who will be visiting the 3rd week in July to explore possibilities for partnership with GCE. 
5) Pray for more water well projects to private farmers or non CHE villages in Honduras or Guatemala as those help in supporting our whole Region CHE staff.

6) Pray that resources be multiplied through on field stewardship, our part.

Prayer Update!

Praises:
1) The 16 participants to the CHE Internship training for the Meso-America Region during the whole month of June (2-29) have arrived to Quetzaltenango and are already at the Seminary facility (SEBIPCA) to begin the training Monday June 3.
CHE villages among a radios of 100 Kms around await them for field training. Praise God for the finances and scholarships for all the trainees from Mexico, Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salvador and Guatemala have been pledged by our dear sponsors, supporters and partners. Praises to God for the facilitators-- the Area Coordinators and CHE Resource facilitators-- funds needed to come and help us are also in place.
2) Praise for the veterinary STM led by Tom and Diane Schieffer who came this May 18-25 to follow up with the villages served for 2 years in a row went back encouraged to see the long term impact that the local CHEs have now to use as a tool for their ongoing witnessing. The multiplication among the poultry projects has blessed even their neighbors who still need Christ. 
3) Mission Community Church, (our partner) from Gilbert Arizona came with a video team in May 10-15. Pastor Karl Mueller our GCE Treasurer led the team.

Requests:
1) Pray for Mike Douglas GCE Chairman and Kirk and Gloria Douglas coming in June 8. They will follow up on some water projects and the CHE Center Development.
2) Pray for the week of ministry (June 4-12) along with the STM team from First Baptist Pine, Arizona who will witness at the CHE village of El Suj on the Cuchumatanes Range of Mountains helping the local church to build a retaining wall and serve through the medical/dental clinic also with the local Quiche CHE teams. 
3) June 14-22, Bethany Bible Church, Phoenix AZ will be working along the CHEs at the Mam village of Xanchenil. Pray for the construction project of the half done church facility will grow as result and many will be witnessed through the medical/dental clinic also.
4) Pray for the Area Coordinators and CHE Resource Facilitators (and Hugo Jr) who will be in charge  of the different 4 weeks of the Internship training to have blessed travels also.
5) Pray for Hugo and Miriam to honor Medical Ambassadors Int invitation to attend the International Council Meeting June 4-8 at Mount Hermon. Pray it will be a blessing to GCE and the Mesoamerica Region to be represented by the CEO/ Region Coordinator and Miriam.
6) Pray that the short visit to our children Mario and Christa in Texas on the way to California will be quality time.

Prayer Update!
Praises:
1) The villagers at Las Barrancas and  Las Granadillas are slowly recovering about rebuilding their crops irrigation system to continue to produce income locally so to avoid life threatening migration to Guatemala city, to Mexico and beyond.
Those who were helped to rebuild after the earthquake now have a basic shelter of their own.
2) The Short Term Mission Teams which came last March were: 
a) Calvary Church, Muscatine Iowa to the villages of Los Alonzo and Buena Vista among the Mam;
 b)AMSA Baylor University Texas to the village of Chirramos among the Quiche people;
 c)Living Word Chapel, Oracle Arizona to the village of Quilin-novillo, Quiche people among the Cuchumatanes range of mountains ; 
d) Mission Community Church, Mesa Arizona to the village of Chirramos among the Quiche.
The local volunteer CHEs,  the Trainers and STMs enriched the ongoing witnessing by serving together with medical and dental clinics, seminar to pastors and church leaders and youth leaders, helping build the local churches facilities, VBS, home visits, etc. 
3) Bay Presbyterian Church from Ohio also visited the village of Chirramos to see first hand the long term impact through CHE there. Their scouting STM made them wanting to have our partnership keep growing, Aleluya!. 
4) The administrative issue we had since January 31 when we had to fire the former secretary due to proven unloyalty and betrayal turned out to become a labor claim.
Our GCE board has been very supportive and now a labor settlement has been signed preventing us to be taken to court, Glory be to God.
5) For the new doors to partnerships the Lord is opening in the USA, in Germany and locally.
6)  Give glory to the Lord for the CHE Woman trainings  in Nicaragua this April 7-20 went very blessed, organized by our CHE Woman Resource Facilitator Darling Lopez. Several villages were ministered by a very precious team: Darling, Pastor Linda Rinzel and Miriam Gomez. over 300 women were trained on prevention and Restoration to victims of Abuse, Rape and domestic Violence. The trainees also learned the crafts to produce income by micro-enterprising.

Requests:
1) Pray for the plans to hold the CHE Internship training for the Meso-America CHE Region during the whole month of June (2-29).
It will be based in Quetzaltenango with the CHE villages between 100 Kms around for field training. Pray for the finances for scholarships to have the proper number of trainees from across the continent even from Cuba. Pray for the facilitators: the Area Coordinators and CHE Resource facilitators funding needed to come and help us.
2) Pray for the veterinary STM led by Tom and Diane Schiefer coming this May 18-25
to follow up with the villages served for 2 years in a row. Our local Teams of CHE Trainers will also take them to a couple of new villages.
3) Mission Community Church, (our partner) from Gilbert Arizona will be coming with a filming team in May 10-25 and we need to pray that time will be used the best.
4) Pray for Mike Douglas GCE Chairman and Kirk and Gloria Douglas coming in June 8. They will follow up on some water projects and the CHE Center Development.
5) Pray for guidance to take some administration steps locally concerning protection
of the ministry to prevent future issues with (labor laws) and attacks like the one just resolved.
6) Pray for all our supporters who pray and invest in this part of the Kingdom's ministry.

Prayer Update!
Praises:
1)  The CHE Training Center caretaker family Vitelio and Lucrecia seem to be adapting gradually to the current extreme conditions as they have moved to the property since January 4. Pray for their children's schooling too as they have to adapt.
2)  The Ministry of Drops of Grace in Texas has confirmed they want to partner with GCE for long term  after their first experience working with Hugo Jr and our CHE Well Drilling Team in Honduras. Drops of Grace are making their name so meaningful to GCE, Grace by the Buckets.
3) The owner of the house we rent for office has changed her mind by letting us rent it from her for the remainder of 2013. (Your prayers have been heard on this urgent claim too).

Requests:

 1) Pray to have the CHE villages Las Barrancas and  Las Granadillas getting the materials to rebuild their crops irrigation system to continue to produce income locally so to avoid life threatening migration to Guatemala city, to Mexico and beyond.
2) For the Short Term Mission Teams coming to Guatemala CHE villages during March: 
a) Calvary Church, Muscatine Iowa; b)AMSA Baylor University Texas; c)Living Word Chapel, Oracle Arizona; d) Mission Community Church, Mesa Arizona. Pray that CHEs,  the Trainers and STMs will be enriching the ongoing witnessing. e) The team from Bay Presbyterian Church in Ohio will also visit one CHE village scouting for future STM wanting to have our partnership keep growing. 
3)  For it seems that God is opening new doors for  more partnerships for this ministry but at the same time a couple of partners are letting us know they will not be able to continue involvement by investing support or short term mission teams with us.
We also thank God for the many years of partnership they let us enjoy. RiCHEst blessings to them!.

Prayer Update!
Praises:
1) The villagers at the earthquake affected CHE villages have been gradually spiritually, emotionally  and physically strengthened to overcome this trial. Due to your  prayers they are comforted and encouraged and recovered hope.
2) Our local Mam CHE Training Teams have been good stewards as the distribution of construction materials keep going to Las Barrancas, Las Granadillas and to Chanxenel. All resources received have been multiplied in God´s Kingdom economy to have these brothers and sisters become able to witness about God´s faithfulness.
3) Our host in Fiji, Homes of Hope were spared from direct damage from the Cyclone Evan which hit their beautiful country and loving people. Praise for the moms and children on the campus and the staff were safe.
4) During the week of December 25-31 the STM team of the Mott Family with Calvary Church Muscatine Iowa were here to help the villagers of Los Alonzo with their CHE planted church facility project. Jim Mott is our GCE Board Member too. Dr. Randy (Orthopedics surgeon) and Barb Gipple (dentist) were on this team. The dental clinic with pastor and CHE training Florentin was very fruitful at the village. Dr. Gary will be returning to do Joint Replacement clinics at our National Hospital in Xela in the near future.
5) Adolfo Leon Central America 1 Coordinator and Hugo Gomez CEO participated during the first annual International Wholistic Mission Conference in Phoenix Jan 9-11 facilitating the workshop "Community Health as a Platform for Total Transformation in the majority world" which was well attended.
6) Our GCE Board of Directors met in Phoenix Jan 12-13. Elections took place and our new Board Officers are also
as committed to the ministry.  Blessings to the Mission Community Church and Face to Face Int for letting us use their facilities to have our Board comfortably meeting one day at each.

Requests:

2) Pray for the STM team from Community United Methodist Church CUMC from Crofton coming in January to 
do follow up about their previous work at the villages of Las Granadillas and Las Barrancas.
3) For the CHE Training Center caretaker family Vitelio and Lucrecia as they have moved to the property since January 4. Pray for their children's schooling too as they have to adapt.
4)  For it seems that God is opening new doors for more partnerships for this ministry. One of those is Drops of Grace from Texas after their first experience working with Hugo Jr and our Well Drilling Team in Honduras.
5) Pray for guidance to seek for and to find a new place to rent for Regional office as the owner is wanting the house back after 12 years of renting from her.
6) Pray for the plans to hold the CHE Internship training for Meso-america Region during the whole month of June.
It will be based in Quetzaltenango with the CHE villages between 100 Kms around for field training. Pray for the finances to have the proper number of trainees from across the continent.
7) Pray for Jacob and Raquel Sotelo, Area Coordinator for Mexico.  Criminality has increased around them in the area they live and minister to in Chihuahua. Pray for God's care and Protection.
