Update Prayer! Friday December 16, 2011.


Praises to the Lord:
1) For the week of November 13-20 the STM Women's team from Mission Community Church Arizona who worked along the CHE women in the villages of Chirramos and Chicoz. By working spiritual lessons through handicrafts and home visits thrust was given to the micro-enterprise projects  and the relationship built even more.
2) About the Water Wells and medical teams in a row which began on     November 19.  They came from Deer Creek Church and Littleton Bible Chapel  in Colorado led by the Douglas brothers plus the Women's team and Water team from Calvary Church Muscatine Iowa led by Jim and Jeanne Mott. These teams served both in Guatemala and Honduras in multiple villages.  Gracefully  by  December 10 everyone went  back home sharing the blessings they saw here working with the CHE teams as well as the blessings brought  to the local people.
3) Regarding  the CHE Woman Training of Trainers Seminar November 28--December 3 to CHEs from Mexico, El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala. Our Master CHE Woman Trainers from Nicaragua conducted the training. God provided in His timing through Mission Community Church. They  gathered here in Quetzaltenango.
4) For Mario and Christa (our children attending school in Texas) will be able to come home for Christmas season.
5) About Miriam's health continuing to see God’s Powerful Healing Hand.

Requests before the Throne:
1)For the new converts—including 2 former witch doctors-- to be properly followed up and discipled  by the local CHE teams in the CHE villages and Churches.
2) For the new CHE Woman Trainees  which were together here for a first time ever in the CHE Mesoamerica Region November 28 through December 3 That  they will increase commitment to the Lord and grow in ministry to reach countless women, families and communities for the Kingdom of God.
3) For the Board of Directors in Global CHE Enterprises about to appoint new Chairman and to re-structure  the other duties to serve better.
 4) For the Short Term Mission Team  from Calvary Methodist Church Maryland led by Board Member Nelson Gardner to serve in the CHE Village of Monte Cristo January 14-22.
5) For  Tom and Diane Schieffer  scheduled  Jan  4-15 to do preparations for     the Veterinarian STM to CHE Villages later in the year (May).
6) For Mike and Peggy Elliot  from Community United Meth Church Crofton MD coming in January to do preparations for STM team in the spring.

Prayer update Sunday Nov 13, 2011


Prayer Update as of Sunday November 13, 2011.

Praise:

1) For God's protection on Pio and Santiago, CHE Trainers among the Mam people who went to help the CHE villages of Las Barrancas and Las Granadillas to recover from the mudslides blocking their only access. They accomplished the re-opening of the road, like last year, and now the authorities are in charge of completing the repairs.
2) Even  the CHE villages have lost part or much of their crops again from floods and excess of rain they will be looking for other  means of producing the needed nourishment to their families in the seasons to come,  they have been empowered by the Holy Spirit.
4) God has given us firm stand to take steps for ministry challenges concerning serious administrative decisions. It has been tough times but still needed for the well being of this ministry.
5) Hugo Jr and Sr. drove Guatemala> Mexico> Houston> Guatemala  Oct. 20-28 to pick up donated materials and pumps, accessories and parts for the well drilling equipment from Deer Creek Church in Littleton Colorado and Littleton Bible Chapel. It was delightful to meet Kirk and Gloria Douglas in Houston who also drove from Denver.
6)  Hugo Sr. was able to attend the  invitation from Mission Community Church for launching official partnership with GCE for the week end of November 4-6 and used the week to visit the CHE team and  work in Rocky Point in Mexico and was hosted by One Mission leaders and the Coordination Committee. Hugo was encouraged to realize the progress and was able to share some more CHE to the team and Coordination Committee.
7) November 4-13 the Medical STM team from Modesto Covenant Church of Modesto Calif served at the village of Chirramos seing more people come to the Lord and encouraging the local teams.

Requests:
1) For the STM Women's team arriving today from Mission Community Church Arizona to work along the CHE women in the villages of Chirramos and Chicoz November 13-20. By working spiritual lessons through handicrafts and home visits and giving thrust to the micro-enterprise projects we all hope the relationship will begin to build.
2) For the Water Well and medical teams in a row beginning a week from now. They will be coming from Deer Creek Church and Littleton Bible Chapel (2)  in Colorado led by the Douglas brothers plus the Women's team and Water team from Calvary Church Muscatine Iowa led by Jeanne Mott. These teams will serve both in Guatemala and Honduras in multiple villages. Pray that by December 10 everyone will be back home sharing the blessings they will have enjoyed here working with the CHE teams as well as blessings brought to the local people.
3) Pray for the CHE Woman Training of Trainers Seminar November 28--December 3 to CHEs from Mexico, El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala. Our Master CHE Woman Trainers from Nicaragua will be conducting the training. God provided in His timing through Mission Community Church. They will meet in Quetzaltenango. 
4) Pray for Mario and Christa to be able to come home for Christmas season. 
5) Continue to include Miriam's health in your prayers please.

Guatemala in more need of prayer again.

Prayer Update as of Sunday October 16, 2011.
Praises:
1) For the Powerful hand of God has protected the CHE villages, CHE Teams and ourselves from personal damage as to be available and ready to serve those in need. The Tropical Depression 12-E has been hitting our country.

Requests:
1) For mercy.  Guatemala's government has just declared State of Calamity at National Level due to the Tropical Depression 12-E. The "excesive" rain has produced disasters on the infrastructure and crops. Guatemala had not recovered since last year's Agatha effects.
2) For God's protection on Pio and Santiago, CHE Trainers among the Mam people helping the CHE villages of Las Barrancas and Las Granadillas recover from the mudslides blocking their only access.
3) For the CHE villages are loosing their crops again from floodings and excess of rain. Pray they will have other means of producing the needed nourishment to their families in the seasons to come.
4) For God's intervention in solving ministry challenges concerning serious administrative decisions.
5) For Hugo Jr and Sr. will be driving to Houston Oct. 20-28 to pick up donated materials and pumps for the well drilling equipment. Then Hugo Sr. has to fly to Phoenix Oct 30 upon invitation from Mission Community Church for launching official partnership with GCE.

Update September 18, 2011 from the field.

Praises to the Lord:
1)For the Training of Trainers Seminar for Urban CHE in Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point Mexico)went blessed and became completed on September 10. Now there is 9 P.T. members team who are beginning to implement CHE. The local coordination team and the sponsoring churches and organizations from Phoenix are giving GCE an important part by giving the training role to  Jacob Sotelo Mexico Area Coordinator and Hugo Gomez Regional Coordinator.
2)For the opportunity to GCE as one of the presenters on Sept 13 at the Workshop "Biblical Perspective on Wholistic Health" organized by 2 Guatemalan organizations (Centro Esdras and the Association of Christian Hospitals and Clinics) at the "Universidad Mariano Galvez". CHE was introduced to more than 50 participants as part of Hugo's presentation.

Requests:
1- For the CHE Woman Training of Trainers Seminar for Central America 1 Area and Mexico Area (original dates were Sept 26-October 2) now postponed due to the lack of financial resources which had been originally designated for here by a dear partner organization. Pray that the Lord will open new doors for this urgent need.
2. For the fencing project of the CHE Center Property to begin as soon as the rain season is over since we have already received the donation from Mission Community Church, Phoenix Area.
3. For guidance selecting a person (and family) to become the caretaker at the CHE Training Center property in order to begin developing.
4. For the water well projects pending to be confirmed.
5. For the new converts to be followed up in their New Life in Christ and for their discipler CHEs throughout CHE villages.
6. For all our CHE leaders and trainers from Mexico through Nicaragua and their needed support.
7. For the pending to be confirmed TOTs to Belize and Panama.

Prayer Requests and Praise Reports for August 1, 2011

Praises to God:
• Praises for Miriam Gomez’ recovery from a recent bout with Bell’s palsy. She is about 85% recovered.
• Praises for the recent successful work of the Short-term teams from First Baptist Church from Pine, AZ, and Focused Living Ministries from Camden, SC. They conducted medical and dental clinics, and worked on construction projects in the mountain village of El Sui, and the coastal village of Tecera Calle. Please pray that the villages will continue to see fruit from the ministry there, and that planted seeds of faith will continue to grow and mature.
• Praises for the recent visits from Pastor Mark Connelly and Pastor Karl Mueller to several CHE villages and to the CHE Training Center. Praises for the growing partnerships that CHE is blessed with.

Prayer Requests:
• Please pray for Miriam Gomez’ continued recovery from Bell’s palsy.
• Please pray for the Short-term team from Community United Methodist Church from Maryland as they minister in the village of La Granadilla. They are conducting teacher/school training, as well as a medical clinic.
• Sydney Deltenere of Mission Community Church in Gilbert, AZ is wrapping up a 3 week internship with CHE in Action. Pray that Sydney will return home safely, and that she will return encouraged by her time working with the CHE projects and by the CHE workers she partnered with.
• Pray for the Short-term teams coming in late July and early August who will be conducting medical clinics, construction projects, and Hospice training in the villages of San Marcos Niza and Paul. Please pray for a full harvest!!
• Pray for the upcoming “scouting trip” of Pastor Brad Pellish from Bethany Bible Church in Phoenix, AZ. Pray that this trip will result in a growing and fruitful partnership between BBC and CHE. Pastor Pellish will be on the ground with CHE workers from August 16-19.
• Pray for the upcoming CHE Training seminars to be conducted in Rocky Point, Mexico by One Mission (Phoenix, AZ church partnership) on August 3-16. Pray that these training seminars will result in the implementation of CHE in this area of Mexico.
• Pray for the Gomez’ daughter Christa she returns home on August 12th from her summer volunteering at the Kibbutz at Schreiner University in Israel.

Prayer Requests and Praise Reports For the Week of July 3rd, 2011

Praises!!
- Miriam is recovering from her bout with Bells Palsy. Please continue to pray for her, as she is still only about 70% recovered.
- The Church of God in Honduras is considering adopting the CHE program on a wider level. Please pray that God will lead them in wisdom.
- The recent GCE Meso-America Regional Council meeting was held on June 18-20. 32 leaders attended from Mexico, El Salvador, Hondurad, Nicaragua,and Guatemala. The Spirit of the Lord was strong in the meetings, as encouraging testimonies were shared as well as challenges in the future.
- The new water well drilling rig finally arrived in Guatemala. Hugoe Jr. and Kirk Douglas towed it across borders, paperwork challenges were overcome, and the rig will now soon be on its way to Honduras.
- The Messicks, a missionary family from WorldVenture, have arrived in Guatemala, and are now beginning their work with CHE teams and Villages in the region.

Prayer:
- Pray that the Che team in Honduras will show good stewardship over the well drilling equipment they have received. Pray for Hugo Jr. as he continues to train the Honduran team in the well drilling process.
- Pray the God will provide the proper person to be the caretaker of the CHE Center property. Without a caretaker, the CHE Center can not function properly.
- Pray that the Lord will continue to move in the hearts of the Regional Council participants and that God will continue to move strongly throughout the Meso-America region. Pray that the workers in this region will continue to remain committed to their work in spite of recent shortages in ministry donations.
- Pray for Christa Gomez as she completes volunteer work at a Kibbutz in Isreal this summer. She will be returning for her Senior year at Schreiner University in Kerrville, Texas on August 14th.
- Pray for the continued growth and direction of the GCE Board members, and for healing for GCE Board members/family members Lona and Douglas Weaver, Albie Anderman, Donovan Mueller, and Miriam Gomez.
- Prayer for the Short-Term teams that will be working CHE during the month of July: Mission Community Church (July 2-7), Mike Wards Team (July 7-16), Focus Living Ministries Team (July 16-23), and the Saratoga Presbyterian Church team (July 26-August 3).
- Pray for the continued prayer and finacial support of GCE Enterprises, and all the work of Dr. Gomez and CHE. Pray for the continued commitment to complete support of the ministry.
